Terms of Service

Who we are
convert.dev is operated by Jun Ryu, a sole proprietor in the Republic of Korea (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you use the website, the API, the console, or the cv command line tool (together, the “Service”). Contact us at billing@convert.dev.
Orders and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Prices are listed on the pricing page in US dollars, and Paddle adds tax where it applies. Plus renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Credits do not expire. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Accounts and API keys
You sign in with GitHub or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys. Keep keys secret and revoke a key in the console if it leaks. Do not create extra accounts to get around usage limits.
Your files
You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the results we produce. You let us store and process them only to run the conversions you ask for. Files and results are deleted 24 hours after they are created, unless you ask for a longer period of up to 30 days. We do not use your files to train models or to build test sets. convert.dev is not a storage service, so keep your own copies.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- process content you do not have the right to process;
- upload malware, or files made to attack us or others;
- break the law or infringe the rights of others;
- probe, overload, or get around the limits or the isolation of the Service.
Limits and changes
Plans have the usage limits described on the pricing page. We may change the Service, its limits, and its prices. Before a price increase for a paid plan takes effect, we email the account owner at least 30 days in advance.
Suspension and closing
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. If we close an account without such a reason, we refund its unused credits.
No warranty
The Service is provided as is. A conversion can lose formatting or content, so check results before you rely on them. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, unless we agree to a service level in writing.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the courts of the Republic of Korea, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We post the new version on this page, and for material changes we email account owners at least 30 days before they apply.
